Welcome to the Al-Haytham Labs research blog — your window into groundbreaking work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and cinema technology.
Our Mission
Named after Ibn al-Haytham, the father of modern optics, our lab continues a millennium-old tradition of pushing the boundaries of visual science. But instead of studying how light enters the eye, we're teaching machines to see — and to create.
What We Do
At Al-Haytham Labs, we're building the tools that let filmmakers experiment fearlessly and create impossibly:
- Generative AI for Cinema — Training models on decades of film to generate new visual possibilities
- Real-time Visual Effects — GPU-accelerated pipelines that respond to actors in real-time
- Mad Scientist Aesthetics — Researching and recreating the visual language of experimental cinema
- Open Research — Sharing our findings with the filmmaking and AI communities
Part of Elkeflux Creative Systems
Al-Haytham Labs is a research division of Elkeflux Creative Systems, working alongside CineDZ and Echovision Films to bring AI-powered innovation to Algerian and international cinema.
Stay tuned for research papers, tutorials, and behind-the-scenes looks at our experiments.
Let's experiment together.
